I asked a Python syntax question on Dev.to, and got 3 helpful answers in 1 hour. On Stack Overflow, my question was closed as "duplicate" even though it wasn't, and I got no help.
Dev.to is more welcoming to beginners, and people actually read your full question. I now post all my coding questions there, and I've never been downvoted or banned.
If you're a new developer, use Dev.to for help. Stack Overflow is toxic to anyone who isn't an expert.
