I had 12 posts removed from Dev.to for using invalid tags. The rules are: max 4 tags per post, tags must be alphanumeric (no hyphens, spaces, special characters), and you can't use tags like "programming" if your post is about GTA 5.
I used "GTA-5" as a tag, which got my post removed. I used "web-dev" with a hyphen, same result. Now I use "gta5", "webdev", "python" — all alphanumeric, no special characters.
Check Dev.to's tag rules before posting. It's annoying, but it saves you from having your posts deleted without warning.
