Hi Hadil! It's great to have you here!
Hello everyone! I am Andrew.
Originally from Ohio, I now reside in California for the time being, after 3 years in North Carolina, and 2 years in Japan before that! I currently work as an avionics electronics technician in the military, but will be changing my job to intelligence here soon.
I have always been incredibly fascinated by tech and computers, but as I am in my mid-twenties, I have more of a drive than ever to attempt to learn about how these things we call computers work and how I can add to the advancement of this technology. I am FAR from being a novice in this pursuit, and still consider myself a baby-beginner, as I've never fully escaped tutorial h*ll and have never taken on any projects of my own.
Any advice helps and I hope you follow me along my journey!
Warm regards,
Andrew
Hello, Andrew! I'm Thaísa and I'm a beginner too. I hope you find amazing articles here on DEV Community.
What field do you like more? Particularly, I like backend development and I'm starting to know a little bit more about data. We're here to help each other.
Hey Thaisa!
I've always been drawn to backend development. I consistently catch myself asking "What goes on after I press this button?" It's funny how much we think we know about the internet, but there is just so much out there. I am learning about HTTP and servers currently and as simple as this stuff might seem on the surface (HTTP, DNS, IP, client/server relationships) it is not! At least to me lol.
Stay in touch!
-Andrew
Sup Andrew. I started learning in my mid 30's. Also studied electronics before that, and am now studying Python a the moment. Welcome and good luck. Im also new here.
Way out of tutorialhell is simply do small projects. I can warmly recomend AOC (Advent Of Code). Its a page full of small puzzles.
Take care!
Hey pulltogg,
I never heard of AOC. I will definitely give them a look! Thanks for the follow and stay in touch, if you want!
-Andy

Hey everyone,
My name is Arihant, I go by Ari its just easier on everyone, I am currently 3 classes away from graduating with my masters in Computer Science. However, I did my bachelors in Microbiology and worked for 1 year in a hospital laboratory before transitioning to computer science. I have been learning how to code since the end of 2023 and would consider myself to be pretty competent now for someone with no previous background in the field.
I joined this website because my masters program is online so its a bit difficult to make friends/groups outside of our zoom classes especially since I am a minority in the Masters program considering my background and the fact that I am in my mid 20s, not married, and not working full time while doing school.
So I was hoping if anyone else can relate to my situation where they either cannot find other people or maybe its just something that interests you. But I would like a few like minded people to form a group with me so that we could all meet up and work on an opensource project we make together preferably in C#.
People I am looking for:
Hey All, I'm Bos (short for Boswell)
I’m a Computer Engineering graduate who pivoted into full-stack software engineering about four years ago. Since then, I’ve worked across multiple startups, where I learned the fast-paced side of building products and also ran head-first into one of the biggest headaches in the industry: infrastructure deployments. Those years showed me that shipping features is only half the battle—the other half is making sure environments stay consistent, configs don’t drift, and “it works on my machine” doesn’t become the blocker everyone dreads.
Over time, I found myself drawn deeper into the world of servers and terminals. I turned my home lab into a mini-cloud, running Dockerized apps, reverse proxies, and CI/CD pipelines, experimenting with how far I could push production-grade setups on my own hardware. I love living in the terminal, building systems that feel clean and efficient, and finding ways to make the developer experience smoother.
Right now, I’m building Bento, a stack-aware CLI tool that spins up production-ready development environments in minutes. Think of it as a meal kit for software stacks—consistent, portable, and team-friendly. It’s my way of turning the pain points I’ve seen firsthand into something practical and empowering for other developers.
I’m here to share that journey, swap stories about dev life, and connect with people who are just as fascinated by building, scaling, and tinkering as I am. 🚀
Hey everyone! I’m Brian from Zambia.
I’m really into tech and web development, and I joined this community to connect, learn, and share ideas with others on the same journey.
Fun fact: I’m definitely a night owl 🌙—I seem to do my best thinking when it’s way past bedtime. Excited to be here! 🚀
Hello everyone, I'm new in this world, and I'm very excited to start working on real projects, been using Ai builder to create websites I have worked for 5 clients and it all vent very well!
I can read the source code and make some changes my self too, but i can't create noting from scratch.
I'm happy to be here I hope I can come back soon and comment here again saying that now Im a developer!
I feel an adrenaline rush of excitement as I officially begin my journey to becoming a seasoned software developer. As I begin my toddler phase, I kindly seek support to be mentored, or even an accountability partner will do. I'm beginning my journey with The Odin Project.

HI dev-communitx, I'
m s real proud Bavarian, just say Lederhosen and Laptop!!!!! Located close to Munich in the wonderful Upper Bavaria. Listen: I'm just a bloody amateur coder who just loves to code. Reason for that is that I'm since 30 years a pensioner after being involved in a terrible car accident.
Hey dev.to! 👋
Founded my first startup years ago, then spent time as CTO at another startup. Now back to building my own thing after a refreshing break.

Hello Everyone!
I go by Triple Tres my name is R. And most of the times I found myself struggling when I'm asked: What you do for a living?
I hold a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from 2013 (Yes, I used Dreamweaver for my first website) but went full illustrator mode at that time because, when I was a kid, cartoons lead me to draw a lot; drawing lead me to Graffiti and Skate, which lead me to Street Art and Sub-cultures, Street art and Punk-rock lead me to Lithography Engraving and screen printing, which lead me to Graphic Design / Illustration, and eventually I decided to pursuit my own Artistic Endeavor.
I've been a successful tattooer for the past 12-13 years, I have my own shop and I've worked at many through the years, I travelled a lot and known relevant people in the industry.
I've known about Bitcoin since the Silk Road era, I tried to buy some hundreds of BitcoinS, (yes, complete BTC units) to buy some stuff at Silk Road, but when I found out that I needed a US-based bank account for buying bitcoin, I quit. Because obviously, I was not going to get an american Bank account for purchasing at the Silk Road, right? Such a clever boy... If only I'd known better that the important stuff wasn't at the Silk Road but at the nerdy computer money thing they requested for payments. pfffff lol.
It wasn't until late 2019, early 2020, before Covid-19 that I bought my first Satoshis, I was catching up to find out what was all about the so-called Mr. Nakamoto, and then the Covid came up, everybody shut down, and I leveraged that opportunity to went Deep down the Crypto Rabbit hole.
I became obsessed, I devoured books, documentaries, blogposts, podcasts, white papers, everything I could find about Blockchain, Fiat money and crypto; I took a step back, analyze the situation and finally decided to pivot careers.
Nowadays I work also as a Crypto Researcher / Analyst since Q1 2024 at Coinsider, a KOL startup where I delivered 25+ in-Depth research reports on Cryptocurrencies, Trends, TA and Macro Analysis, Tokenomics, etc. such reports are used to craft educational niche videos raking up to 70k views some of those.
I'm also a Core Contributor at Retail DAO a Decentralized Autonomous Organization where I lead the Development side, I designed, wrote and built their Documentation Site, I lead Token risk mitigation efforts, I created and manage its GitHub Org profile and I'm currently building a full-stack Dashboard/Terminal which displays useful trader metrics and analyses, using Dual WebSocket servers for live data and strategic caching architecture, with its custom frontend and matching scalable backend API, in the look for offering our community a useful tool for helping them with their data-driven decisions.
And basically I'm here because recently, I've been reached out by this huge Financial Cluster company from Mexico, offering me a great position as a Bitcoin Product Manager for one of their lending-pawning apps. They found me on LinkedIn, I've got a few calls from them, and I received great feedback interview after interview, I passed filters, signed NDAs etc. Then Suddenly, they cut all communications, I stopped receiving calls, mails and messages from them, and Its been a week or so and I haven't had any news since then.
Honestly, I'm a Little frustrated / confused because I don't know why such a sudden back-off, I mean, they even asked me to move to the city for being close to the Headquarters, and that only brings a lot of questions to my head, Do I need more experience? Do I lack of proper credentials that validate my knowledge? They, being a TradFi institution maybe got "scared" with my clearly visible tattoos? Who knows? I certainly don't.
And I don't want to be misunderstood here, I love tattooing as much as seeing a successfull server deployment, and I'm good at it, its not that I suck at it and now I don't know what to do with my life, you only start doing great tattoos after your first 10 years, now I know that. I began getting tattooed and tattooing other people before it was a trend, I meet some great friends and places, but to be honest, I got tired of the city, the pollution, the people, the blood, their skins... I mean, I still tattoo from time to time at my own shop and when I travel, but less frequently since I moved to the countryside, where I live now with my lovely pets and my lovely fianceé, (yes, I'm almost 40 and I'm about to get married, for the first time) and at this point in my life I'm pursuing a remote job that compensates well my skills and knowledge. I mean, who doesen't, right?
Anyways, what brought me here was a Tech with Nana video,
where she recommends to enhance our LinkedIn presence by writing and posting our journey, our learnings and current projects, or anything relevant for that matter. And that's exactly what I'm planning to do, I'll share here my research findings, my current development efforts, my weird wild journey, but most importantly my mistakes, fails and challenges that I'm facing along the way, so that, hopefully would be of use for someone. Meanwhile I'll be sure to keep my mind busy until the right job arrives at the right time, don't you think?

I’m currently working on Onboarding Buddy, a SaaS platform designed to streamline customer onboarding with features like batch email validation, AI file management, and sanctions checking.
I’ve been diving deep into API development and integration, and aim to share my experiences through future blog posts and code snippets. Hello everyone! I'm Justin.
I've been a developer professionally for about 10 years at this point (oh man that time went by quick...), and am now looking to dive deep into the systems side of programming. I'm here to learn, share, collab and just meet other like minded people to do all of this together. I'm going to try and document my journey into this, just to keep myself accountable haha. Looking forward to engaging in the community!
Hey dev.to! I'm Chris
I've been in software development for roughly 15 years and have touched all sorts of different fields. I've bounced from AAA game development to Indie game dev, to AR/VR, into Medical Devices and back again. Looking for an outlet for my experiences and the r&d I plan to do and share!
