๐Ÿš€ Exploring the Unknown: Building UAP Detector with MeDo

The skies have always inspired wonder, but they also hold mysteries weโ€™ve yet to explain. For the Build with MeDo Hackathon, we set out to create something bold: UAP Detector powered by MeDo โ€” an immersive anomaly detection platform that blends AI precision, cyberpunk design, and community-driven exploration.

๐ŸŒŒ Inspiration

We wanted to build a tool that feels like mission control for the unexplained. Inspired by aerospace innovation, anomaly research, and the aesthetics of sci-fi, our vision was to merge scientific curiosity with artistic immersion.

๐Ÿ” What It Does

UAP Detector now provides a multi-layered detection system with expanded features:

  • ๐Ÿ“ท Camera-based anomaly detection with image/video capture
  • ๐Ÿ“ก Radar simulation with waveform visualization and anomaly blips
  • ๐Ÿ“Š Signal Analyzer with real-time waveform monitoring and electromagnetic band analysis
  • ๐ŸŽ›๏ธ Frequency Scanner with spectrum sweeps and animated frequency visualization
  • ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Location-based logging with timestamps and geotags
  • ๐ŸŒŒ Immersive UI: live video backgrounds, animated starfields, glitch text, holographic borders, and scan-line overlays
  • ๐Ÿ’พ Secure storage & CSV export via Supabase

Together, these modules create a cinematic cyberpunk dashboard that feels futuristic while remaining technically robust.

๐Ÿง  How We Built It

  • Platform: MeDo no-code AI builder for rapid prototyping
  • Database: Supabase for secure event storage and retrieval
  • Frontend: Custom CSS animations + MeDo modules (RadarSimulation.tsx, SignalAnalyzer.tsx, FrequencyScanner.tsx)
  • APIs: REST + JSON pipelines for modular data flow
  • Deployment: MeDo cloud hosting with dynamic video backgrounds and real-time updates
  • Collaboration: GitHub for version control, CapCut/Dreamina for creative assets

โš™๏ธ Challenges

  • Balancing scientific realism with immersive cyberpunk visuals
  • Ensuring real-time synchronization across detection modules
  • Optimizing performance for animated starfields, glitch effects, and video loops
  • Extending MeDoโ€™s no-code environment with custom TypeScript and CSS

๐Ÿ† Accomplishments

  • Integrated Signal Analyzer and Frequency Scanner for deeper anomaly detection
  • Designed a futuristic cyberpunk interface with glitch text, holographic borders, and scan-line overlays
  • Added live video backgrounds and animated starfields for immersive storytelling
  • Built a multi-sensor detection dashboard that feels like a real mission control system

๐Ÿ“š What We Learned

  • How to extend no-code platforms with custom components for advanced functionality
  • The importance of visual storytelling in making technical data engaging
  • Techniques for optimizing real-time animations and effects without sacrificing performance
  • Cross-disciplinary collaboration yields results that are both functional and artistic

๐Ÿ”ฎ Whatโ€™s Next

  • ๐ŸŒ Integration with satellite & weather data
  • ๐Ÿ“ฑ Mobile app with AR sky scanning
  • ๐ŸŒ Community portal for collaborative anomaly tracking
  • ๐Ÿค– AI model refinement with open datasets
  • โœˆ๏ธ Partnerships with aerospace & research organizations
