As the title says, what kind of tunes do you enjoy listening to while you do your work?
Personally I'm a grunge, country rock kind of guy, but every now and then my teenage nostalgia kicks in and I revert back to punk and metal.

Anything without words and some consistent tempo to be honest. If there's words I pick up on it and it distracts my concentration. Otherwise I'm fairly genre agnostic - but since electronic music tends to have a nice tempo and few words (or words in languages I don't speak and therefore don't attempt to parse) I tend to go through everything from Trance to Chillwave to Russian HardBass (avoiding mainstream english language EDM for the reasons given).
Russian kvass and hardbass 🤙
It really depends on the mood I am in and also a bit on the task I am working on.
Usualy I'm listening to Minimal or House but I also like the good old 90's 😅 That is, most of the times, my friday afternoon music :)
For me, if you're going to do coding using today's frameworks, you have to be listening to today's music like Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello, Billie Eilish, and yes, I'll admit I'm a Swifty, so I've been listening to Taylor's latest too.
If I had on 90's music, I'd probably have the desire to code in something like Fortran! 😄
I get the joke but Fortran was released in 57.
here's a list of programming languages released in the 90's

I know. I was just trying to think of some language that was used before I was even born. I'm sure there are plenty of them.
a few requirements:
-no words
-drum beat & bass line
So i usually end up with some jazzy house music, "Lofi Chill" or "Deep House"
if it's late at night or after lunch.. i'll need it uptempto or i'll fall asleep....
IDM, Electronica and metal
Disco & House.

Been listening to this a lot recently and the classic blade runner soundtrack is always a classic one I listen to YouTube:
Usually, I put lyricless stuff on repeat but depends the mood and the tasks. Here is my complete theory on that:
