Helio! I'm Ana. Happy to be here. I will be sharing some polished thoughts on here regarding Cybersecurity, Data Analysis, and Software Development. I am a first year
CSstudent and I would like to get my name out there to land a job in cybersecurity after graduating. Fun fact is I like to read serious books in very unserious voices on YouTube. Thanks for reading. Toodles.Welcome to DEV!
Let learn together
Welcome Ana!
Happy to meet same minded people. 🤩
Welcome Ana, I'm happy for you

Ana, welcome to the club!
Hi
Ciao Analetrizia 🚀 welcome to DEV!
Hey everyone!
Just joined dev.to after lurking for way too long. I'm Sergei, been writing C++ since 1999 (yes, I'm old), currently based in Belgrade, Serbia.
What I do:
Co-authored userver.tech (async C++ framework)
Boost committer
Build things that need to go fast
Have an unhealthy obsession with template metaprogramming
What I'm currently hacking on:
SlugKit - a human-readable ID generator because I got frustrated with someone's personal-organization-N code. Turns out falling down performance rabbit holes is addictive.
When not coding:
Motorcycles, sailing, freediving, and recently started learning to DJ (bedroom level, don't get excited).
Looking forward to sharing some war stories from 25+ years of making compilers cry. First article coming soon about optimising from 300µs to sub-microsecond performance.
Cheers!
amazing
Hey folks, I’m new here. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone starting out in dev?
Do a little something everyday. It doesn't have to be the same thing. One day you can code, others design, others market, network, read, chill. But just do something that helps you progress everyday in your career. Best of luck.
Start simple, maybe one single project in react, flutter and not try to learn everything
That's a great tip .what kind of projects would you recommend for a beginner in react?any specific ideas or resources
I think you can start with something simple, but which resolve an issue maybe... a show tracker like trakt which save everything in the browser indexedDB?
A simple todolist, maybe kanban board in react always with drag and drop
Hi! It depends on your goals... What would you like to do? maybe making games or creating websites... or... there are a lot of options, If you want, I can call you or retall my personal way how I chose my way. there were a lot of mistakes :) where are you from tho?
Welcome. Code don't just read articles, watch tutorials, code.
consistency!
Hi everyone
I'm Chris,
I'm a front-end developer, artist, and graphic designer
Welcome to DEV!
Welcome
Hey, I'm a high-school student very close to graduating. I know a bit about low-level coding and cybersecurity and I can't wait to learn more about algorithms because my code is slower than internet explorer, not to mention a bit of everything else. recently, i made a small custom operating system because one of my friends told me i couldn't, so, yeah, thanks for reading
Hi everyone! 👋
My name is Emilio, a Senior Software Engineer from Santiago, Chile with over 20 years of experience in backend and system architecture.
After a long career building complex systems for others, I've decided to start my most ambitious personal journey yet: learning real-time 3D graphics (Blender & Three.js) and building a complex interactive project from scratch. I've just launched my personal blog at emilioacevedo.dev to document the entire process—the good, the bad, and the buggy.
A fun fact about me: I believe the best way to stay young in tech is to always be a junior at something new.
Excited to be part of this community and learn from all of you!
Welcome to the community, Emilio. I agree - the more I learn, the more I realize the power of feeling like a junior in certain aspects.
Excited to see you around.
Thanks so much, Chris! Glad to hear that resonates with you. It's a humbling but exciting feeling for sure.
Happy to be here!
Also I checked out your website - very cool vibe haha.
Hey everyone! I'm B, a final year undergrad in cse. This is me attempting to retrace my love for tech, and build my critical thinking via code. I'm going to log my attempt at programming problems here, and any suggestions/feedback are welcome!
welcome
👋 Hey everyone!
I'm an indie maker working on Volixta, a growing suite of WordPress plugins built for professionals.
Our main one, Volixta Booking, is an all-in-one system that handles staff, clients, payments, and scheduling — no extra addons needed.
I also maintain Volixta SSL & Security Headers, a free plugin that helps fix SSL and mixed content issues and adds modern security headers automatically.
If anyone here enjoys testing new WordPress tools, I’d love your feedback on it — especially from other devs or site owners. 😊
I’m always up for chats about WordPress performance, security, or plugin architecture.
Looking forward to connecting with you all! 🚀
Welcome! I’m new to DEV.to as well.
Thanks! Welcome to Dev.to too 👋
Hi everyone, nice to meet you!
My name is Danil, and I’m a developer from Russia.
I’ve been working in web development for over 5 years, mostly with PHP, React, and Vue, but I also enjoy diving into more complex languages like C# and Kotlin.
I came here to join a global community of developers, read articles, and connect with others.
Hey everyone,
I am a new member of the Dev community. I’ve been prototyping an Android app idea that I think has strong potential, and I’m looking for like-minded developers/designers who’d be interested in collaborating to take it further.
I’m still in the early stages of growing my Android development skills, so while I’ve started laying the groundwork, I’d love to team up with people who bring more experience in Android, backend, or UI/UX. The vision is to build something practical, user-friendly, and scalable.
If you’re passionate about creating impactful apps and enjoy the startup-style challenge of building from scratch, let’s connect! I’d be happy to share more details and see if our goals align.
Note: Anyone joining should be comfortable working with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, since the project is being built entirely with those.
