Challenger Approaching: I am joining the DEV team!

It's official, today is my first day working with the DEV team.

I've made a handful of PRs to DEV and posted a few articles here, but I'm stoked to be contributing to this platform in an official capacity.

I'm a self-taught software engineer from Northwest Arkansas (🐗), and I help maintain the Solidus ecommerce platform. I also run a podcast about developer career paths.

Joining DEV as Senior Software Engineer means I'll be shipping new features, helping maintain the project, and working to improve the existing codebase. The opportunity to write code for this platform excites me, but I'm also very interested in finding new ways to get involved with this community.

While I'm working with the DEV team, I will strive to be open and accessible. I care deeply about inclusivity and transparency, so I'll make every effort to model those ideals in my actions. In the spirit of being accessible, I'm always happy to receive DMs on DEV or any other platform I use.

I look forward to growing with DEV and seeing my contributions benefit this group of people. I'm super grateful to the DEV team for trusting me with their project and the DEV community for making it possible to do this kind of thing for a living.
