ZIM has introduced ZIM TextureActive to make interactive textures on any mesh material in three.js. See https://zimjs.com/015 for the examples. We show VR examples first and then general three.js examples beneath that.

There is now ZIM Studio with 35 examples of TextureActive 2D interactivity in 3D for three.js zimjs.com/studio - for 3D and VR!
